A Poem Prayer #1:
Dear God, we humbly gather here to pray,
For strength to guide us on a brighter way.
In the shadows where darkness often dwells,
Help us be better bystanders, as our story tells.
In homes where pain and fear may reside,
Grant us the grace to be a healing guide.
With open hearts and compassion deep,
May we help those in need, their secrets to keep.
No longer silent, but voices of care,
In domestic violence, we’ll be aware.
To see the signs, the hidden distress,
And offer support, in their time of duress.
For survivors, grant them solace and peace,
Let their healing journey find release.
For those who’ve caused harm, may they transform,
Breaking the cycle, a chance to reform.
As instruments of love and change we’ll be,
In this prayer, we find our empathy.
To light the path where love may prevail,
In being better bystanders, this is our tale.
Amen to courage, to compassion, and grace,
As we stand together in this sacred space.
A Poem Prayer #2 (a variation of #1):
Dear God, in this sacred space, we entreat,
For strength to break the chains of pain and defeat.
In the shadows where darkness tightly clings,
Guide us to be voices, as empathy springs.
In homes where pain cascades like relentless rain,
Grant us the grace to wash away the stains.
With hearts unshackled and compassion deep,
Be our guide, as we rise from shadows that creep.
No longer silent, but voices bold and fair,
In the realm of violence, we declare.
To witness the signs, the distress concealed,
Offering support, as healing is revealed.
For survivors, let solace be their release,
As the rain of healing washes pain, grant peace.
And for those who caused harm, a chance to transform,
Breaking the cycle, in redemption’s warm.
As instruments of love, breaking through the night,
In this prayer, our empathy takes flight.
Lighting the path where love will prevail,
In being better bystanders, our voices sail.
Amen to courage, to compassion, and grace,
As we stand together, breaking shadows we embrace.
